I have known these beautiful island girls since they were born. Who would have known how swiftly they would grow into lovely young ladies? I still can’t believe it myself. And yet here they are- with all of the glory that goes along with being a teenager. We had fun running all around Galveston’s historic district looking for cool places to shoot. Hurricane Ike really pummeled the island where my parents were born and raised. I found a building where someone had marked the water line. I had the girls and my son pose underneath it. I am standing across the street – about 2 feet below them. From my estimate, the water was at least 8 feet in that location. No one thought the water could rise so high and yet it did. But just like a Phoenix rising from the ashes – Galveston is back.
There are so many wonderful spots in Galveston. You really should go and check it out.
